The Steve Miller Band released a new album in June 2010 and they wanted a complete website refresh. I was brought in to brainstorm ideas and propose a redesign. This is my concept.
The site had a music player that remained at the top of every section playing all of SMB’s music. The main image centered within the content was a rotating slideshow of Steve Miller’s classic guitars. You could click a guitar pick and a new guitar would slide in, all from Steve’s personal collection of guitars.
The site was going to also feature video clips shot from the road as weekly webisodes. Unfortunately the project was put on hold but I wanted to show off some of the designs I came up with.
