The Sour Grapes Rant:

So-called reality shows are being handed out like lattes at Starbucks. It seems like every washed-up actress or wannabee that’s desperate for some quick cash is being handed a cheap and boring reality show that’s not reality or a show.

Kim Kardashian. Who is she? Why the hell would anyone want to watch her acting like an idiot with her idiot sisters? Every show feels staged, like their boring-ass life just doesn’t cut it so they need to fake it. They just bounce around from one mindless situation to another, making up fake drama, pretending people actually give a sh*t about who they are, and making the rich even more loathsome in the eyes of the world.

Pam Anderson. She was hot… like 20 years ago. She’s done several reality shows by now. And she has a new one on the way. The commercials reinforce over and over how hot she’s supposed to be. Have you seen a NON-AIRBRUSHED photo of her lately? She’s got more lines than a NYC subway map. There’s nothing wrong or unattractive about women getting older, but when they try and sell themselves as some big-boobed pin-up girl half their real age, it just looks stupid and desperate. Give it up. Find a new career. Your days as a 2-dimensional blow-up doll are over.

Denise Richards. I’m not going to watch your show… EVER. Get the f*ck off of my television. I just watched Starship Troopers again and she’s easily the worst actor in an already pretty bad movie. There is nothing this person can contribute to anything considered entertainment.

Tori Spelling. Why the hell is she famous? Oh yea, her dad gave her a job in one of his crappy TV shows 15 yeard ago. And she was barely a main character. Now she suckers camera crews into following her around recording every little waste of time she manages to connect herself to, including spitting out the kids. It’s like she is saying that her life has no value unless it’s being filmed by a camera crew. What’s next? “Tori Spelling Gets Food Poisoning and Barfs Up Spaghetti”, a new reality show starting this week on E!

Who watches this stuff? Seriously? How do they keep going? The laws of capitalism dictate that if a show can’t sell advertising, it needs to go. So who is putting eyeballs on this garbage and encouraging it’s proliferation. It has to end. This is not entertainment. This is not reality. It’s rich, mindless losers exploiting themselves for profit. And the more we participate in this insult, the longer it will last. Turn it off.
